SAPS and CPF in Coligny show how it is done if all work together.

Four suspects involved in a farm attack in Coligny on Tuesday night were swiftly arrested by the South African Police Service (SAPS), thanks to a joint brave and committed effort by the local community police forum (CPF) – made up of farmers and residents – and SAPS.

With the community and SAPS working together, magic happens and in this small town, it is a winning combination.

The latest attack earlier this week, saw a car chase  into a nearby township and the suspect, who drove another stolen bakkie, arrested.  The farmer’s stolen vehicle with illegal and stolen ammunition in it, as well as all the necessary tools to continue break-ins, was found close-by.  The man behind bars is also wanted for a long list of crimes in Tshwane.

Photo shows the tools of the break-in trade, found with the suspect.
