Rare black rhino’s relocated to Tanzania

South African rare black rhinos were relocated to the Serengeti.

Poaching killed off most of the rhinos in Tanzania and this was done in an attempt to repopulate the area. There are only 133 left in the country and conservationists are hoping these animals would find a safe home away from home.

In another relocation not so long ago, all the rhinos died as a result of negligence and proper care during and before being re-introduced to the wild.

Tanzania’s  elephant and rhino populations are beginning to show increases after the government cracked down on major syndicates involved in poaching.
