A draw is a let-down for many. Everyone wants to have a winner. But as, Sport24 states very clearly, there was just one worthy team on the field over the weekend in this iconic match. And it was not the Springboks, according to to those in the know.
Herschel Jantjies keeps on being the man and brought the Boks back from the brink of 16-9 after half time. Handré Pollard with his kicking boot ensured no single winner walked off the field. However, with everyone it seems, always insisting on how poorly the Boks play, to come back from nine to a shared draw with the mighty All Black, does not seem to be too shabby.
But as has become the standard answer whenever the Boks lost, maybe “we learnt a lot again.” Still, NewsHorn wishes to salute our boys. They played until the end. No one pretended as in soccer, to be seriously hurt and no one burnt the stadium down or assaulted the ref.
