Excellent report on global and African youth and education published

The World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) had just released its study, undertaken in 20 countries globally. The study is part of Unesco’s learning initiatives.

The survey/study had been done in South Africa, Nigeria, the Middle East, Asia, the Americas and Europe targeting almost 10 000 people from 16 to 25 years of age.

As far as environmental responsibility is concerned, most young people on the African continent understood their responsibility toward the plant, more so in Nigeria than in SA. Youngsters in Africa felt that their education was not adequate with regards to social issues and providing them with skills to improve the state of the planet and socioeconomic problems. The young people of Africa were also worried about  poverty on the continent, social inequality between the sexes and proper access to health care.
